Social Media

For the most part, my social media content at the Health Fund brought a spotlight to our grant partners’ accomplishments—their successes were ours as well. I also promoted reports, shared stories from our local media underwriting work, and interacted with peer foundations.

  • Meet the Grantees

Asking applicants to describe their initiatives in a tweet served a dual purpose: a quick-glance summary of the work, and a way to introduce the grant recipients on social media.

  • Age-Friendly Everything

A partnership with Issue Media Group led to many stories that aligned with Health Fund focus areas. We experimented with Facebook “boosting” to reach a wider audience.

  • Suicide Prevention Collaborative

The Health Fund’s connection to Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan meant many collaborative press releases and promotional pushes.

  • Home-Based Vaccines

The unique circumstances of the pandemic led the Health Fund to expedite vaccine funding, including the home-based initiative covered in this blog post.
